Our mares are the heart and soul of our stud. Each mare has been carefully selected for her movement, type and nature; they are fed carefully prepared diets to ensure both they and their foals are in optiumum health.

DARNELA

Pure Spanish mare born May 1989

Darnela is the grand old mare of our stud. A daughter of the stunning imported stallion Dacio III, Darnela is of strong Carthusian origins. Gentle and kind, this dear mare is the mother of several State and National Champions including Anchorbar Fonda and Anchorbar Fornelo.

Darnela has now retired from breeding and will live out her days with us. Her line continues for our stud through her daughter, Estimada B.

Beautiful Ada is our up and coming star - we are just so pleased with this filly! Closely linebred to Animador II, we are sure she will be a champion in the showring and a valuable addition to our brood mare team in the future. Her type, movement and prescence is outstanding.





ANCHORBAR DELANTE
Anchorbar Fornido (dec'd) x Anchorbar Dacia II (dec'd)
Pure Spanish grey mare born 2006

The darker mare in the above photo, Delante is a daughter of multi-champion Anchorbar Fornido and out of Anchorbar Dacia II, a full sister to our Darnela. Delante is a big, roomy mare with a placid and friendly nature. Her movement is straight and ground covering. In November 2012 she had her first foal, a filly by Valeroso B we've named Dacia B (pending). Delante is currently in foal to the imported bay PRE stallion Grandioso MG and is due in November 2013.

Dacia is a very sweet filly with a strong Spanish profile. Combining the strong Carthusian origins of her parents, she is a grand daughter of Clasico MAC, twice National Spanish Champion, and Dacio III, imported from Spain. She is extremely quiet, always the first to greet you in the paddock, and an absolute pleasure to handle. 

ALTAIR VIII (imp)

PRE mare born 2002

We are so proud of this mare! Imported from Yeguada Aimaran in southern Spain in 2009, Altair combines stunning movement and beauty. She is the dam of several quality offspring residing in Spain and Germany, and has so far produced three stunning foals for us - Adalina B, Calero B (for sale) and Donoso B (pending).








ESTIMADA B
Mas-Martillo (Imp) x Darnela
Pure Spanish grey mare born January 2007

Daughter of Darnela, Esther is a lovely big mare of strong Carthusian origins. Her sire, Mas-Martillo, was imported from Spain and is a stunning animal. Esther is currently his only purebred offspring in private hands making her bloodlines very rare and desirable.





DULCINEA B (pending)

Pure Spanish bay filly born February 2013

We finally have a filly out of the grand old stallion Hispano (grand son of the legendary Maluso) after breeding three colts by him! Dulce is true to type and has a lovely, pretty head. She will make a valuable additional to our breeding mares and so far, appears that she will remain bay.
